Random VERY happy day
January 22nd, 2005 by Stephanie @ 3:25 amSo today was the start of midterms, though I didn’t have any, just gym, but I went to school because of our French oral part. Anyways, me and Sash planned to leave early, and Jen did too. Somehow Joanna snuck out of school as well. So we went out to lunch, and it also turned out that the restaurant we went to didn’t take my credit card, so it was lucky we had enough cash. Next we wanted to go ice skating, though because of my bad knee, my mom banned me from going. Instead we stopped by the library to mail my application for CTY, then headed to Toys R Us. We spent a great deal of time in that store, looking at all the board games, and how everything is based on a movie, or an old original game. With the exception of my beloved Cranium, which is a new game not based on a movie, and it rocks!!! After wandering around the store, we figured out that they didn’t have Tomagachis (sp?), so on our way out, we saw a hoard of stuffed animals. We noted all the different ones, and Joanna and I had a horse race, and were joined by Jen on the real galloping horse thing. There are some really strange stuffed animals in stores now-a-days. Yea, so after we finally dragged ourselves out of the toy store, we headed to the movie theatre. There wasn’t much choice of good movies, but we finally decided on Sideways…spealt Sidewyas everywhere in the theatre. However, the movie didn’t start until 4pm, and it was only 1:20ish. To bide time, we stopped at Dicks sporting goods. We went through the whole store, commenting on the different equipment, and the sports and such. One of them was soccer, so Joanna was showing off her amazing skills. I tried to imitate her, and just ended up knocking the ball straight into a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee cup, which split in two, and that was the end of that for me. Once we played enough there, we went to the mall since it was right there. (I finally got myself a plaid skirt.) Anyways we passed Piercing Pagoda, and I was like, hey I should get my ears pierced, jokingly. Sash went, yes! and started to drag me, I protested. I asked Joanna if she had earings, and then Jen, both their answers were negative, so I was like, no I’m not getting them pierced. Eventually Sash dragged me over there, and I picked out lil gold turtles. I was freaking out, because I don’t like sharp objects entering my body. I brought Joanna into the seat thing with me, so I got to squeeze her when I was scared, pain, etc. But yea, that’s the most random thing I’ve ever done that will affect the rest of my life. After that was done, we rushed back to the theatre, and I went in backwards to a parking space, my first time wahoo! Sash blamed it on the ear piercing rush. Before I was like, hey I want to try backing into a spot, and everyone was like NO! And then later I just did it, and they were like whoa, that was pretty good, so HA! Yea, so Sidewyas is a weird movie… I don’t think I’d necessarily reccommend it, but apparently it won best picture in the Golden Globes…. yea… I would have never guessed. After the movie, we headed back to Howell to drop Joanna off, and we stopped at Cold Stone and got amazing ice cream at a low price (employee discount, Joanna rocks!). Thus ends the best outing of this year!
